What is the function of the “explosion-proof door” installed in the boiler

Most boilers on the market now use gas, fuel oil, biomass, electricity, etc. as the main fuel. Coal-fired boilers are gradually being changed or replaced due to their greater pollution hazards. Generally speaking, the boiler will not explode during normal operation, but if it is improperly operated during ignition or operation, it may cause explosion or secondary combustion in the furnace or tail flue, causing serious dangerous effects. At this time, the role of the “explosion-proof door” is reflected. When a slight deflagration occurs in the furnace or flue, the pressure in the furnace gradually increases. When it is higher than a certain value, the explosion-proof door can open the pressure relief device automatically to avoid the danger from expanding. , to ensure the overall safety of the boiler and furnace wall, and more importantly, to protect the life safety of the boiler operators. Currently, there are two types of explosion-proof doors used in boilers: bursting membrane type and swing type.

Precautions
1. The explosion-proof door is generally installed on the wall on the side of the furnace of a fuel gas steam boiler or on the top of the flue at the furnace outlet.
2. The explosion-proof door should be installed in a place that does not threaten the safety of the operator, and should be equipped with a pressure relief guide pipe. Inflammable and explosive items should not be stored near it, and the height should not be less than 2 meters.
3. Movable explosion-proof doors need to be manually tested and inspected regularly to prevent rust.
