Q:What are the steam generator water quality management regulations

A:Scale will seriously affect the thermal efficiency of the steam generator, and in severe cases, it will cause the steam generator to explode. Preventing scale formation requires rigorous treatment of steam generator water. The water quality requirements of the steam generator are as follows:
1. The water quality requirements for the operation of the steam generator must comply with the relevant provisions of the “Water Quality Standards for Industrial Steam Generators” and “Steam Quality Standards for Thermal Power Units and Steam Power Equipment”.
2. The water used by the steam generator must be treated by water treatment equipment. Without formal water treatment measures and water quality testing, the steam generator cannot be put into use.
3. Steam generators with a rated evaporation capacity greater than or equal to 1T/h and hot water steam generators with a rated thermal power greater than or equal to 0.7MW must be equipped with boiler water sampling devices. When there is a requirement for steam quality, a steam sampling device is also required.
4. The water quality inspection shall not be less than once every two hours, and shall be recorded in detail as required. When the water quality test is abnormal, corresponding measures should be taken and the number of tests should be adjusted appropriately.
5. Steam generators with a rated evaporation greater than or equal to 6T/h should be equipped with oxygen removal equipment.
6. Water treatment operators must undergo technical training and pass the assessment, and only after obtaining safety qualifications can they engage in certain water treatment work.
