Is a steam generator a special piece of equipment? What are the procedures for special equipment?

A steam generator is a mechanical device that uses thermal energy from fuel or other energy sources to heat water into hot water or steam. The scope of the boiler is stipulated in the relevant regulations. The boiler water capacity >30L is a pressure vessel and is a special equipment in my country. The internal structure of the steam generator DC pipeline, the water capacity of the steam generator is <30L, so it is not subject to relevant technical supervision and is not special equipment, eliminating installation and use costs.

Type 1: According to relevant regulations, boilers refer to equipment that uses various fuels, electricity or other energy sources to heat the liquid contained to certain parameters and output heat energy to the outside. Its scope is defined as a volume greater than Or a pressure-bearing steam boiler equal to 30L; when operating normally, the water injection is automatically stopped according to the limit device specified by the steam generator circuit system, which is less than 30 liters. Steam generators are not boilers specified in relevant regulations.

Second type: Also according to relevant regulations, the steam generator clearly indicates an external water level gauge, so the highest water level visible by the water level gauge should be used as the measurement standard, which is greater than 30 liters. Steam generators are boilers specified in relevant regulations.

The third type: According to relevant regulations, pressure vessels refer to closed equipment that contains gas or liquid and withstands a certain pressure. Its range is specified as the maximum working pressure is greater than or equal to 0.1MPa (gauge pressure), and the pressure and volume are Fixed containers and mobile containers for gases, liquefied gases and liquids whose maximum operating temperature is higher than or equal to the standard boiling point with a product greater than or equal to 2.5MPaL; steam generators are pressure vessels stipulated in regulations.

Special Equipment Regulations

Many people think that steam generators may be special equipment and require installation, acceptance, annual inspection and other operations, but this is not the case. The relevant regulations clearly stipulate that this regulation is not suitable for the following equipment:

(1) Formulate a steam boiler with normal water level and water capacity less than 30L;
(2) Hot water boilers with rated outlet water pressure less than 0.1MPa or rated thermal power less than 0.1MW;
(3) Heat exchange equipment to meet the cooling needs of equipment and process processes.

As for steam generators, the generally specified water volume is less than 30 liters, which is not suitable for this procedure. Therefore, it cannot be regarded as special equipment, so there is no need to report for installation, acceptance, or annual inspection.
