A:Safety valves and pressure gauges are important components of steam generators, and they are also one of the safety guarantees for steam generators. The common safety valve is a ejection type structure. When the steam pressure is greater than the rated pressure, the valve disc will be pushed open. Once the valve disc leaves the valve seat, the steam will be discharged from the container quickly; the pressure gauge is used to detect the actual pressure in the steam generator. The size of the instrument, the operator adjusts the working pressure of the steam generator according to the indicated value of the pressure gauge, so as to ensure that the steam generator can be safely completed under the permitted working pressure.
Safety valves and pressure gauges are safety valve accessories, safety valves are pressure protection equipment, and pressure gauges are measuring instruments. According to the national pressure vessel use standards and measurement methods, calibration must be mandatory.
According to the relevant regulations, the safety valve shall be calibrated at least once a year, and the pressure gauge shall be calibrated every six months. Generally, it is the local special inspection institute and metrology institute, or you can find a third-party testing agency to quickly obtain the calibration report of the safety valve and pressure gauge.
During the calibration process of safety valves and pressure gauges, the manufacturer needs to provide relevant information, as follows:
1. Safety valve calibration needs to provide: a copy of the user’s business license (with official seal), power of attorney, safety valve type, safety valve model, set pressure, etc.
2. Pressure gauge calibration needs to provide: a copy of the business license of the user (with official seal), power of attorney, and pressure gauge parameters.
If the manufacturer thinks it is troublesome to do the calibration by himself, there are also institutions in the market that can do the inspection on his behalf. You only need to provide a business license, and you can easily wait for the safety valve and pressure gauge calibration report, and you don’t need to run by yourself.
So how to determine the overall pressure of the safety valve? According to relevant documents, the set pressure of the safety valve is multiplied by 1.1 times the working pressure of the equipment (the set pressure should not exceed the design pressure of the equipment) to determine the pressure accuracy of the safety valve.
