1. How to use high-pressure steam sterilizer
1. Add water to the water level of the autoclave before use;
2. Put the culture medium, distilled water or other utensils that need to be sterilized into the sterilization pot, close the pot lid, and check the status of the exhaust valve and safety valve;
3. Turn on the power, check whether the parameter settings are correct, and then press the "work" button, the sterilizer starts to work; when the cold air is automatically discharged to 105°C, the bottom exhaust valve automatically closes, and then the pressure begins to rise;
4. When the pressure rises to 0.15MPa (121°C), the sterilization pot will automatically deflate again, and then start timing. Generally, the culture medium is sterilized for 20 minutes and distilled water is sterilized for 30 minutes;
5. After reaching the specified sterilization time, turn off the power, open the vent valve to slowly deflate; when the pressure pointer drops to 0.00MPa and there is no steam discharged from the vent valve, the pot lid can be opened.
2. Precautions for using high-pressure steam sterilizers
1. Check the liquid level at the bottom of the steam sterilizer to prevent high pressure when there is too little or too much water in the pot;
2. Do not use tap water to prevent internal rust;
3. When filling liquid in the pressure cooker, loosen the bottle mouth;
4. The items to be sterilized should be wrapped to prevent them from being scattered inside, and should not be placed too tightly;
5. When the temperature is too high, please do not open or touch it to prevent burns;
6. After sterilization, BAK deflates and decompresses, otherwise the liquid in the bottle will boil violently, flush out the cork and overflow, or even cause the container to burst. The lid can only be opened after the pressure inside the sterilizer drops to equal to the atmospheric pressure;
7. Take out the sterilized items in time to avoid storing them in the pot for a long time.
