Wool scouring is to remove sebum, sweat, dust and other impurities in wool. If used improperly, it will directly affect the follow-up process, and the quality of the finished product cannot be guaranteed. In the past, washing wool required manpower, slow efficiency, high cost, inconsistent cleaning standards, and uneven cleaning quality.
Due to the development of today's society, mechanical equipment has replaced manpower, so a good equipment is essential. At present, most felt factories use steam generators. Why do felt factories have to use steam generators? That's because the steam generator is primarily used to moisten and heat the wool, which is then compressed. The wool material is loose and not easy to compress directly. Moisture must be present to make the wool fibers heavy, and the workmanship must be guaranteed. The process cannot be submerged directly in water, so it is best to use a steam generator. Humidification and heating functions are realized, and the blanket made is tight and does not shrink.
In addition, the steam generator is combined with the drying function to dry and sanitize the wool. The wool is first warmed and humidified to make it swell, followed by a drying process to obtain dense wool.
